Former Board Members

Bruce MacCormack served as BPDA Board Member from 2009-2010. Bruce MacCormack is the principal and lead consultant with Cascadia Consulting, LLC, which provides management consulting services for small to medium-sized businesses located in the Pacific Northwest.  He has over forty years of senior marketing and general management experience, spanning both Europe and North America.  Bruce is the Founder and Chairman of the Bellingham Angel Group, a private equity investment group, funding start-up to early-stage entrepreneurs.  He is a retired Senior Advisor for the IBM Corporation.  Bruce serves as Chairman of the Northwest Economic Council.  He is a member and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Bellingham.

Brian Steele served as BPDA Board Member from 2009-2011.  Brian Steele, co-owner of the geotechnical engineering and construction testing firm Material Testing and Consulting, is a licensed engineering geologist with over 13 years of consulting experience on complex development projects with significant geotechnical obstacles.  He has worked on many high-profile waterfront projects, including the Port of Everett and Port of Anacortes in Washington.  Brian is well versed in working with developers, architects, engineers, municipalities, and contractors.  He has consulted with a wide variety of clients, from homeowners to federal agencies across many sectors including public works, commercial, light and heavy industrial, institutional, educational and residential.  His professional organizational membership includes the American Society of Foundation Engineers and the Environmental Assessment Association.
